New iTunes U Course – Using Evernote

Using Evernote‘, the (eagerly anticipated?) follow up to ‘Using Dropbox‘, has been uploaded to the de Ferrer Academy iTunes U site. The course largely follows the outline of the ‘Evernote for iPad User Guide‘ PDF. For those unable to view the course on an iOS device, the video content is also available on YouTube in a playlist here - or  below.

The course focuses on how to use the various features of Evernote on the iPad, but also includes a ‘How to use Evernote with your class’ section containing links to the many useful ideas posted on the Evernote for schools site.

Next up – an iTunes U course on how to create iTunes U courses…

The first hurdle

So, I’ve given in and starting writing a blog. From twitter to here in little over two months.

Ideally, when choosing a theme for this blog I came across the ingeniously titled ‘skeptical’. A little like backing a horse in the Grand National with no idea of the horse’s ability to either run or jump,  I duly headed for the ‘Activate’ button.

The reason for this blog is  simple: To provide a record of everything I do in my role as a New Technologies Development Leader (NTDL), just in case our new Principal asks to see me and proof that my existence within the role is actually worthwhile’.

The reason I have managed to get round to creating this blog: I am currently absent from school for a little while with a knee injury that appears to have advanced my walking skills by several decades. This gives me chance to catch up; I began the role in September and have kept few records since then. So my next post will begin with my reflections on my first task as an NTDL. Eventually, I intend to catch up with real time…

Comments and sharing of this blog incredibly welcome!
